2019 | June 8th-23th |
Amalart was proud to announce a remarkable exhibition devoted to two of the greatest artists in our network:
*"Sea and Mountain Poetry"*
20/07/2018 - 02/08/2018
Espace Neptune - Saint Jean Cap Ferrat (France)
The exhibition "Sea and Mountain Poetry" showcased paintings by Sun Dawei and Michel Aubéry, blending Chinese and Monegasque art in a stunning fusion. Drawing references from the "Classic of Mountains and Seas," the artworks conveyed the artists' passions through mythical emotions, presenting the audience with scenes from "another world."
Both Sun Dawei and Michel Aubéry are known for their active and engaging artistic approaches. Through this exhibition, they articulated poignant messages by integrating traditional painting styles with modern and advanced techniques.
Organized by Amalart in collaboration with Big Eyes Vision International, the exhibition ran from July 20th to August 2nd at Espace Neptune. This prestigious venue, dedicated to exclusive events, is situated in St. Jean Cap Ferrat, one of the most significant cities on the Côte d'Azur, only 20 minutes from Nice and even closer to Monte Carlo.
The exhibition was a resounding success, drawing art enthusiasts from across the region and beyond. Attendees were captivated by the unique interplay of styles and the profound emotional resonance of the works on display. The event not only highlighted the talents of Sun Dawei and Michel Aubéry but also reinforced the cultural bridge between Eastern and Western art traditions.
Born in Monaco and of Monaco citizenship, Michel Aubery starts drawing at the age of 9. His first drawings represent surrealistic animals, made with pencil or Chinese ink, a great connection with the chinese artist invited to the exhibition.
Sun Dawei is a graduate of the Central Academy of Arts and Design in Beijing, and has collected accolades from entities in Singapore, Taiwan, and mainland China.
